Hidden cost of IPO

It was pretty darn cold last weekend.  Some folks were fine in lighter jackets but some of us were cold even in layers and layers of clothing.

When you plan your budget for IPO keep in mind outfitting yourself.  From the ground up you will want water resistant boots.  Even in the summer, tracking takes place early and grass can be dewy and tall.  You will want to protect your feet.  Long underwear in the winter is a good idea.  Jeans are not always the best pants for the job.  You want something that has plenty of flexibility, mud falls off of. and dries quickly if you get caught in a rain shower.  For tops, layers are always good.  You will find big pockets handy for carrying balls and tugs.  HInt, if you expect to use cargo pants, menswear have larger pockets than women's pants.  Dog training vests have pockets in the back which can be nice to keep toys out of the way and less distracting.  Depending on the material of your leash you may want fingerless gloves to avoid rope burn.  In winter, mittens are warmer than gloves.

No matter the season I recommend wearing a hat, sunglasses and sunblock!  And some bug repellent might be called for.
